How to Calm The Chaos at Home

We have all heard of the well-known saying

Home is where the heart is…

Staring 2021 in lockdown may not have been what most of us envisioned for the New Year. Nonetheless we have continued with the ‘new normal’ and for some this includes; Working from Home, running a business or even home schooling.

Juggling all of this while being confined to your house may have blurred the lines of what we consider home.  It’s not only our home, it is now our office, school or even our warehouses! As crazy as that sounds it is important to try and maintain a sense of calm within the home.

So, here are a few ways you can turn your home into a haven of positive health.

  • Designate a space in your house for your home office.

This will help you to switch off at the end of a working day and keep that work/home balance. You can create a separation using plants, a bookcase or a divider.

  • Create a mood.

Surround yourself with great uplifting items such as soy candles or essential oils to uplift the mood in your space. Certain scents such as jasmine and lavender are popular scents that aid relaxation.

  • Declutter

A clear and clean space can do wonders for your mental clarity. Getting rid of unnecessary clutter can help positive energy flow and may help you focus better.

  • Design your space

Sometimes reimagining your space can be a breath of fresh air. By moving items around and adding some accents you may find that you feel more comfortable in your home. This could involve moving furniture, lovely house plants or even cute storage boxes.

These ideas have definitely worked for me and I hope they are a great help to you.

Love, Tem x
